10 benefits of CBD for our furry friends

Just like us, our 4-legged friends can suffer from the little aches and pains of everyday life: anxiety, stress, blues, chronic pain, sleep disorders...*

How can we overcome them and improve their comfort? CBD, a natural molecule extracted from hemp whose benefits have been discovered recently could be helpful.

🤔 How does CBD act on our animals?

Animals, like all living beings, have specific cannabinoid receptors in their brain and central nervous system that forms what we call the "endocannabinoid system" where cannabinoids (including CBD) latch on and support your pet's endocannabinoid system by providing the phyto-nutrients it needs.

✨ Here are the 10 powers of CBD on our fur balls:

1️⃣ Pain relief: CBD is often used to relieve chronic and acute pain in pets, including joint and muscle pain.

2️⃣ Anxiety relief: CBD can help calm anxious or stressed pets, which can be helpful for animals who are afraid of noise, traveling, etc....

3️⃣ Appetite stimulation: CBD can help stimulate appetite in animals with anorexia, especially when they have chronic illnesses.

4️⃣ Improved sleep quality: CBD can help improve sleep quality in animals that have difficulty sleeping, such as animals that suffer from insomnia or sleep disorders.

5️⃣ Relief from nausea: CBD can help relieve nausea in animals that feel sick, such as animals that suffer from chronic illnesses or are undergoing medical treatments.

6️⃣ Seizure reduction: CBD has been shown to reduce seizures in animals with epilepsy.

7️⃣ Prevention of cancer cells: Some studies suggest that CBD may help prevent the growth of cancer cells in animals.

8️⃣ Immune system stimulation: CBD can help boost the immune system in animals, which can help them fight infections and diseases.

9️⃣ Improve skin and coat: Some studies show that CBD can help improve skin and coat health in animals.

1️⃣0️⃣ Relieve symptoms of chronic disease: CBD can help relieve symptoms of chronic disease such as pain, inflammation and anxiety.

When this team of animal lovers discovered the powers of this incredible molecule, Pawell was born ! Its goal? Offer animals the well-being they deserve.

🤫 Their secret for an optimal efficiency?

🥇Full spectrum hemp: There are two ways to produce cannabidiol (CBD). Either the CBD is extracted alone, we speak then of "CBD isolate", or it is extracted with the other cannabinoids of the plant. We speak of full spectrum CBD which have a direct impact on neurotransmitters.

😽A wide choice: Pawell offers you CBD-based oils as well as wet food and ultra-healthy hemp oil treats but also a multi-functional balm.

⚗️Another big plus, depending on the size and characteristics of your pet, Pawell gives you the ideal dosage for optimal effectiveness.

✅ Pawell also scores points for the origin of their CBD: theirs is from organic farming, without the use of pesticides and grown in the European Union!

💬 Our opinion:

Our CPO Malka has tested it and here is the verdict of Melanie, her owner (but also our founder):

"Malka is a dog who suffers from anxiety, especially in my absence, she is also stressed when we travel, the CBD treats and the balm have been a good help and she can start to live these moments with more serenity."

Q&A

Are Pawell products legal?
The European regulation prohibits cannabis, products extracted from it and hemp-based products with a THC dose higher than 0.3%. Pawell products are made from hemp, not cannabis. Regarding CBD, it is allowed, and the recommended doses are adapted to your pet.

Where should I apply these products?
The packaging includes application instructions, dosage and recommended duration of treatment. The preferred route is still oral, because CBD is a lipophilic product and its effect is therefore better in fat.

How long does it take for the products to take effect?
It can take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour depending on the size of your pet. When giving your dog CBD, it's always a good idea to start with a small portion and slowly work your way up to a larger portion. Individual results may vary.

What are the known side effects of taking Pawell products?
There are no side effects to their products unless your dog has allergies of any type listed on the ingredients. The only side effect would be drowsiness, if this occurs it is recommended to decrease the prescribed dosage, and consult your veterinarian if the problem persists. These products are all natural and made with 100% pure hemp oil.

I don't know if I should choose the treats, the oils or the food...
There is no real difference between the products other than convenience for the owner. Oils can be added to your dog's food or administered directly into his mouth, treats are taken orally and so is kibble. We recommend that you use it as a dietary supplement and choose the product that your pet likes and eats best.
